Where are we in terms of Matusadona National Park, Lake Kariba? Guests will land at either Fothergill Airstrip (the closest and preferred option) or Kariba Main Airport based on weather conditions & charter companies’ discretion. From Fothergill Airstrip (used during the dry season months of April to November) it is a 30-minute game drive to the camp. This costs U$D15 per person one way. This is done by Changa in a game drive vehicle. (Occasionally when the lake levels are high, this transfer will be done by boat as Fothergill becomes an island – the cost remains the same and it takes approximately 20 minutes). From Kariba Main Airport (used during the rainy season months of December to March) it is a 20-minute drive from the airport to Marineland Harbor followed by a 40-minute boat cruise across the lake to Changa. This is outsourced and additional costs are involved depending on numbers of pax and times of travelling.
